For over 30 years now, I've been involved in the home/entrepreneur business field. During this time, I have seen every ponzi and pyramid scheme, every gifting program, and every money transfer operation under the sun. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE SCHEMES HAS COLLAPSED... hurting good, trusting, and yes, gullible people worldwide who "invested."

It's important that you understood how pyramid players think. They're goal is NOT to help you profit; their goal is to take as much of your money as they can as quickly as possible. THEY know they're not running a business, and so THEY never make the investments in their business that legitimate business people make.

What THEY do is this: they prey on people's greed and avarice (remember, it is one of the 7 Deadly Sins) to excite people and, quite frankly, make them lose reason, perspective and common sense.

Pyramid players know that manipulating people becomes easier as the economy worsens. After all, desperate people do desperate things. That's why so many pyramid players become more visible during bad times. Bad times, desperate people, produce a superb environment for their profit -- but NOT for yours.

Face it: pyramid players (and by this I mean the organizers and promoters of pyramid schemes) are crooks, thieves, petty criminals and worse. They have mastered manipulation and con-artistry. And, yes, that is a craft, though a dark one. They learn to prey on your greed, your need for immediate money, your lack of experience.

They will do and say ANYTHING to get YOU to believe that THEY are the solution to your often serious financial problems. Such people are charming, personable, plausible. It is easy to like them... and to find reasons for believing them.

But, remember. Their goal has NOTHING whatever to do with helping YOU... and EVERYTHING to do with enriching themselves. The minute you forget this, you are doomed, yet another victim of yet another practised crook.

What should you do? Avoid these folks at all cost. When you "invest" with them, you've made a fool's bargain. And, believe me, you will pay, one way or another.

There's an old saying, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is." That's wisdom.

We are in a severe global recession. Many legitimate businesses and opportunities are losing money; the rest are making profits which may well be cut by events. THEY, however, are making every effort to improve their operations because THEY are planning on long-term futures.

BUT NOT PYRAMID SCHEMES. They will be long gone before the recession ends, secure with YOUR money, while you will have nothing but good experienced gained through bad choices.

Next time you're thinking about joining one of these "wow, immediate riches" schemes, and after you're checked them out at google, yahoo, etc., read this message.

Remember, real businesses act like it; they aim to keep you as a long-term customer, and work hard to make you happy. We, for I am CEO of one such business, do care about your long-term success, because we know our future is intertwined with yours. NO pyramid player anywhere on earth could say that or even understand such a goal. THEY reap... YOU never do.

The USA has so many outstandng loans to so many countries, it's time to

To bail out so many mismanaged companies is a shame and a disgrace. Our children and grandchildren wil be paying this off for years, and this is not something that developed overnight.

Once again the Bush White House was asleep at the switch.

I have yet to make up my mind on which candidate I will be voting for on November 4th and this is the first time in my voting life I am not proud to be a Democrat.

The biggest mistake Barack Obama has made it not chosing Hillary Clinton as a Vice President running mate, and now we have Sarah Palin trying very hard to do her best Hillary impression. Barack Obama's choice of VP, Joe Biden was a huge mistake and will probably lose him the election. I think Barack was afraid that Hillary Clinton would overshadow his Presidency and take th limelight away from him. We need a leader not a Rock Star.

The traveling all over Europe and finally Iraq what was the point of it all?

John McCain is a true American Hero and I have great respect for him. He has shown courage few human beings can possess.

After almost 2 years of campaigns and primaries what bothers me most about Barack Obama is I still don't really know what his agenda is and how he really plans to "CHANGE" it all. I watched him be interviewed last week by Bill O'Reilly on FOX and he was stammering all over himself.

Barack Obama is a young man and has plenty of time to be President, I wonder if he's ready what is his rush? I worry how he would react to a crisis and worst a terror attack God forbid. I really don't believe he would be capabable of defending us as Commander and Chief.

President Bush is just sitting back and watching it all go down the crapper again, seven years since 9/11 and he's still hasn't found Osama Bin Laden, "THE FOLKS" as he put it standing in the ruins of the World Trade Center. The innocent people that died that day were just minding their business and living their daily lives, and nothing has been done to find the mastermind of those horrible attacks. If you don't think that they won't test out the new President to see the reaction and how far they can go.

So back to original subject lets get the Iraq Goverment to start paying back the billion dollar a week they owe us for the past six years and maybe we'll recoup some of the loans elsewhere.

Today is September 11th and this is a message from a city girl from Sunnyside, Queens, NYC.

Please remember the heroes that lost their lives on that September morning. Six years ago today.

Don't listen to people who say we should move on.

Unfortunately some people can't understand the size of the World Trade Center, all 16 acres , 110 floors, all the people who died there, on the hijacked planes and at the Pentagon. The country is so large and some people never travel to NYC so they just look at the TV and think small.

The WTC was a city in itself so we should never forget that our homeland was attacked.

When we forget the Terrorist win.

Everybody thinks it's gonna be something special and exclusive, but it's really a dump, the worst hotel in the city! The rooms are small, the service is surly and they're overpriced. One more thought...in VA we are so desperate for rain. The grass is so dry and if it does rain it's a quick downpour. We need a slow all day rain so the ground can absorb the water.

Have you ever watched Chris Matthews on MSNBC in the afternoon. He loves to talk and boy does he. He gets so excited you would think he was on speed or something. He loves to pronounce the Vice President's name. " Cheney not Chaney " If he said once yesterday he said it at least three or four times. The Cheney connection came from Senator Obama's comment " Bush Cheney Light." Talk about spinning it would make you dizzy.

Harry Potter Mania

I have seen have seen a few of the Harry Potter movies and they are great. I have never read any of the books. I guess I should after all they are all the rage. When I was little it was Nancy Drew books and then the TV show. Then came The Hardy Boys and then the TV show on Disney. These were great shows and too bad the children today don't get to see them. I t would be well worth buying the DVDs if they are on DVD. There were so many good shows back then and the actors were high quality.

I never thought I would be talking like a old fogy but it's true. The shows for children are terrible. I would never let any of my children watch them. The stories and characters are too mature. Why doesn't the entertainment industry let children be children. They force children to grow up to quick so they can buy what ever they are advertising. Look at the recent news stories about children's cereal. Well that's another blog entry.

Presidential Debates

I will write about just about anything. Today is Super Tuesday again, and MSNBC is on a roll. Last night the Presidential candidates had a debate. It wasn't the usual kind of debate. It was done on with UTube videos. It was very interesting and different. It wasn't the usual old stand up and sweat like Nixon style debate. It was regular people like you and me asking questions straight from the hip.

For years I have been following politics and I guess I got the love of it from my parents. My Mother was a Democrat and my Father was a Republican go figure that.
My first real memories of a President was President Eisenhower and when I was a little girl he scared the crap out of me. So when President Kennedy came on the scene I was ready for a new kind of President. My mother was so happy since she was a Irish/Scot Catholic and he was right up her alley.

In the sixties in Queens they used to have political rallies at Sunnyside Gardens on Queens Blvd. They closed Queens Blvd for about 10 blocks and they campaigns all had band wagons and drove up and down the street. They played music and had live bands. They had all kinds of signs and banners. It look like a circus was coming to town. The bull horns blaring so loud. It was very exciting to see for a 8 yr old girl. It was so crowded in front of Sunnyside Gardens because John F Kennedy was going to speak there that evening. I was with my father and we got pushed around the corner because the street was so crowded. So the we stood opposite the side door and guess who was sneaking in the door? JFK and I was stunned to see him so close up. It still seem like a dream that I saw him but it is a memories that I will cherish always.

Today is my Mother's Birthday....if she was here she would be 91 yrs old. This is so hard to imagine because she was my age when she passed away. How often I think of all the things that have happened since she has gone to her place in Heaven. When she passed away we were in Vietnam and now we are at war again in Iraq. Lyndon Johnson was President.2 This picture was in my Dad's wallet and that's why it's got a crease in it. Well I wish I could send her flowers in Heaven but I doubt if they deliver there.So this goes out over the internet...flowers for Nancy....Happy Birthday Mommy.
